Reasons
Three clear reasons organizations choose Safe Hotline: stronger employee relations through anonymous whistleblower reporting outside the workplace, earlier fraud tip detection, and lasting reputation protection.
An ethics and compliance hotline helps you hear concerns early, protect assets, and show employees you take integrity seriously.

Fraud prevention starts with early tip detection. An ethics hotline gives employees and others a trusted channel to report concerns before losses grow.

The 2026 study analyzed 2,402 cases from 143 countries and territories, with more than $3.4 billion in total losses reported.
Small organizations (< 100 employees) remain vulnerable — median loss was $126,000, and they are much less likely to have hotlines and other anti-fraud controls in place.
Collusion raises losses: median loss was $55,000 for one perpetrator, $125,000 for two, and $324,000 for three or more.
Most perpetrators are first-time offenders — 88% had never been charged or convicted of a fraud-related offense before.
Tips are still the most common way frauds come to light — nearly three times as many cases as the next most common method — and formal reporting channels (including hotlines) play a major role in getting those tips.
One negative incident can cause years of damage to your company’s reputation. Even an honest mistake by an employee can become an ethics concern, a customer issue, or something much worse if left unchecked. Safe Hotline lets you deal with reported issues before they escalate out of control.
For businesses and nonprofits in the US and Canada.
IRS Form 990 asks nonprofits whether they have a written whistleblower policy. Auditors, lenders, and grant funders often ask whether you have a reporting channel too — a hotline lets you answer yes.
In the ACFE’s 2026 Report to the Nations, 43% of frauds were detected by tips — nearly 3× the next most common method — and 55% of those tips came from employees.
Many hotline reports are workplace and HR concerns, not just financial misconduct. A hotline gives employees a safe way to raise harassment, discrimination, and safety issues early.
A documented reporting channel shows good faith, lets you fix issues before they become lawsuits or regulator complaints, and helps protect whistleblowers from retaliation.
Employees report more readily to an independent third party than to a manager or an HR inbox — so you hear about problems sooner.
